GCLC Covid-19 Measures for external stakeholders

Gosnells Community Legal Centre (GCLC) will be following the advice of the Australian Government and implementing precautionary measures to protect staff, volunteers and clients of GCLC from the effects of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The restriction of services provided by the Centre has been carefully considered by the Management Committee and is considered necessary at this time. These measures will be reviewed on a regular basis by the MC and full services will be resumed when it is appropriate and safe to do this.

These arrangements will commence from Wednesday 25 March 2020. 

Working arrangements for GCLC staff

  • Centre is to be closed to the general public
  • All Staff Members are to work from home
  • Reception staff to continue working at GCLC. If you have a query, please contact the Centre on 9398 1455 from 9am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 4.30pm Tuesday to Friday.
  • All appointments to be by telephone or other electronic means such as Skype or Zoom

Restriction of services

The following services will be suspended until further notice unless they can be carried out by telephone or other electronic means:

  • Duty lawyer/tenant advocate services
  • Mediation services
  • Community legal education and outreach
  • Face to face client contact
  • Armadale Health Service program
  • Prisons Outreach program

Evening Volunteer Legal Service

  • Service to continue in a reduced capacity
  • Volunteer evening legal service lawyers to contact referred clients by telephone at appointed times
